Après ski, après screenings, The Standard made our Sundance Film Festival debut with our friends from Marc Jacobs in tow.
We teamed up to celebrate Peter Hujar’s Day, the Ira Sachs-directed film based on Linda Rosenkrantz’s book. A Park City recreation of Marc’s iconic Bookmarc shop in The West Village set the scene for a book signing, with the film’s stars Ben Whishaw, Rebecca Hall, and Rosenkrantz herself in attendance. It was a night of firsts—including Rebecca and Linda meeting in person for the first time. Everybody went home with a signed copy.
The pop-up was the first taste of a year-long partnership between The Standard and Marc Jacobs, promising exclusive events, limited drops and more. While we were in Park City, we also hosted a few nights of Not Your Standard Bingo, bringing NYC’s naughtiest game night to the film industry’s buzziest indie fest.
“Our partnership is about pushing boundaries,” Kristin Patrick, the fashion label’s CMO, said. Consider them pushed.
