Spring in LA: Dirty Dave

LA's own Dirty Dave shares his favorite records to celebrate spring before he plays The Rooftop at The Standard, Downtown LA on Thursday, April 27th and Le Bain in New York, on Sunday, May 7th.
DIRTY DAVE: Spring to me is the most optimistic and inspiring of seasons in Los Angeles…days growing longer and warmer, flowers and trees in bloom, and the inevitable excitement of what summer has in store for us. It means the return of day trips to the mountains, beaches, deserts, and of course, parties on The Rooftop.

"Soaking up the sun without a trouble in the world." –Dirty Dave

Here are five records that sound distinctly spring to me:
Michael Franks
"Sunday Morning Here With You"
Waking up to the sound of birds chirping through the open windows.
Ame Strong
"Tout Est Bleu"
Soaking up the sun without a trouble in the world.
Love
"Be Thankful For What You Got "
Out walking or driving about the city feeling nothing but good.
Glenn Riccs
"Keep On Dancing"
The title of this one says it all.
Moondata
"Let The Moonshine In"
Once the sun is done, we keep it all going
