Le Bain

Manny Ward: Welcome Home

Manny Ward, a Frankie Knuckles protégé and former resident DJ at the legendary NYC club Sound Factory Bar, tells us about his party at Le Bain, The Homecoming, before it returns on Friday, January 19th.
MANNY WARD:
"Last year, our two parties at Le Bain have been two of my music highlights of the year! The Homecoming is a family affair with me and my partners Elliott Matos and Jeffrey Cheng at the helm. I've known our first two special guests, the legendary NYC DJs and producers John Creamer and Angel Moraes, for most of my career, so it made those two events even more special. It was a big accomplishment for me, as that was something that I’ve always wanted to do. The party is all about the music, vibe, and people."

"The Homecoming is the place where I debuted my new song "Resilience." I've been back into the studio with DJ Gomi and the singer Sandy B and we came out with something so beautiful and unexpected. Look out for this release sometimes this year!  2018 will be busy for me with more original production releases, more parties, and most importantly, it’ll be my 30th year DJing. I’d say that’s something to be proud of, wouldn’t you?"

"This time at Le Bain, I will play alongside Quentin Harris. Along with him being a good friend whom I adore, I admire him and am endlessly inspired. He’s one of the most, if not the most, talented people that I’ve met thus far. I’ve never met Prince or Stevie Wonder, so there you have it. I’m beyond honored to be playing with Quentin again. The last time we played together, we burned the club down....Not literally, it actually happened the next day, so not to worry, we won’t do that." [Laughs.]
