The Toronto music producer and DJ shares her three favorite music moments of 2017 before she plays Le Bain alongside Brooklyn duo Analog Soul on Saturday, January 27th.
The release of my debut album #CozmicLove "I actually spent the entirety of 2017 in my studio working on my album! When I wasn't in the studio, I was spinning myself and missing a lot of great shows. Toronto is a classy, fun city with a million cultures and a million events. Last year was a productive one for me, kicking off in March with the release of my debut single ‘Bassline Sound’ with a music video shot in Toronto. It was followed by the release of my album, a magical moment for me...12 tracks, some live cello, and a lot of studio time came together in a tribute to many different styles of house music for the 'dancefloor inside your head.'"
Cherry Bomb Pride at The Mod Club "Pride Festival is a big deal in Toronto, with over a million people in attendance for the parade, festival stages, and side parties. I co-hosted and DJ'd the iconic Cherry Bomb Pride, a super fun, jam-packed annual event with 1,500 people. We celebrated a landmark 10-year Cherry Bomb anniversary. For me, who has been there from day one, it was an incredible experience."
Playing live at CTRL ROOM Studios "The CTRL Room is a much loved artist incubator as well as a DJ collective that hosts a Toronto-based online station with live streaming DJ sets. I had so much fun doing the set in The Junction-based studio. Host and creator Hubert K often donates proceeds from music marathons to local charities, which is another reason being on the show was such an honor."
