Leanne booked it as a joke. Her dog booked a follow-up.
When The Standard, Singapore launched The Pup-Up Club — a monthly hangout where dogs take over The Garden, Leanne thought an animal psychic reading would be good for a laugh.
Instead, she ended up cross-legged on the grass, being told Olive, her 7-year-old Shiba Inu and Spitz mix, needed to “reconnect with her inner puppy.”
Enter Arden, an animal communicator who describes herself as an intuitive dog whisperer, energetic channel and all-around spiritual translator for your four-legged best friend. Her toolkit? A little tarot, a little crystal healing, some aromatherapy and a sixth sense for decoding your dog’s deepest secrets.

First: crystals
Olive immediately gravitated toward the crystals linked to communication. Turns out, Olive’s throat chakra was thriving, girl really knows how to speak her truth.

Next: aromatherapy
Out of a lineup of scents, Olive sniffed out peppermint and ginger, classic indicators of a sensitive stomach. IBS hive, time to rise. Then came the tarot cards. Time for the real tea. Leanne asked Arden a series of questions for Olive and got some answers.

The Session
What brings you the most joy?
Chilling. Please don’t overwhelm me. I love smiling, sniffing, eating and cuddling. And for the record: Stop blaming me when it’s not my fault.
What's the one thing you wish I'd stop doing?
Wash your hands before touching me. Especially after socks or shoes. Smelly human things are an immediate no.
How do you feel when I leave the room?
Sad, but I’m overall fine. I just worry if you are safe, but also if you’ll bring me presents when you come back.
How can I be a better dog parent?
You're doing great. But if you could stay home forever, that’d be perfect. If not, more outings together, please. Also, thank you for the excellent food and endless love.
Do you think we found each other for a reason?
Of course. Every pet has a soul contract with their human. I'm here to help you reconnect with your joy. To remind you how to play, stay curious, and find wonder in the little things, just like a puppy would. I’m your companion and your protector, through every season of life.
Be honest — who’s your favourite person?
Decline to answer. No comment. (you know, though)
Book Your Session
Leanne walked in a sceptic. Now, she’s plotting where to buy rose quartz water bowls and Googling "canine mindfulness classes." Believe what you want, but if your dog’s been giving you side-eyes lately, maybe it’s time to book a session.
