Last month, industry it-girls Becky Akinyode and Yohana Lebasi hosted the third annual edition of their coveted closet sale at The Standard, East Village.
For two days, Cuna’s private dining room was transformed into a destination for archival treasures and cult favorites, drawing in New York’s fashion crowd for an experience defined by standout pieces and even stronger energy.
Akinyode, a stylist and creative consultant, is known for challenging social norms through work grounded in integrity and discipline, with contributions to publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and i-D. Lebasi, a freelance fashion editor and consultant, takes a holistic approach to styling, emphasizing image-making that creates a dialogue between beauty and context. Her clients include Chanel, YSL, Glossier, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman.
From experiential pop-ups to intimate dinners, Cuna’s private dining room proved an ideal setting—effortlessly extending onto The Garden Terrace and reinforcing its place as a space designed for moments like these.
