Artists, Geeks, Directors, DJs and Sarah Silverman


Back for its third year, the Seven on Seven Conference challenges seven artist-technologist teams of two to develop a new idea or concept – be it an application, social media platform, artwork, product, or whatever else they can dream up – over the course of a single day.

The final results will be presented at the conference, which will also include a keynote speech by New York Times journalist and author Evgeny Morozov.

Planeta Desconocido, a film from last year's competition

The Zero Film Festival is in town for its 5th year to highlight the work of self-financed independent filmmakers. Numerous screenings will take place over the next two days around L.A. For tickets and more information, check out the Zero Film Festival's website.

This year's opening party, which is happening on our roof, will feature DJ sets by Tim Sweeney, Warpaint, Justin Miller, and Woolfy, and two short films from the festival, Daddy’s Eyes by director Carlos Hurtado, and Beyond the Known World, by director Hansjoerg During.
