Dinner in the Clouds: Lila29’s Grand Entrance

The Standard, Brussels officially opened its doors, kicking off with an intimate dinner of creatives with ENFNTS TERRIBLES at Lila29, its Iberian and Mediterranean influenced rooftop bar and restaurant. A global who's who of creatives attended, including Lennon Gallagher, Tigerlily Taylor, Layton Williams, Daniel Millar, Izzy Richmond, Connie Constance, Leo Mandella, Parisa Wilkinson, Maxim Magnus, The Flag Twin, Hannelore Knuts, Luc Tuymans and more.

Thursday night in Brussels was anything but ordinary. The Standard’s newest outpost in the Belgian capital kicked off its grand opening weekend with an intimate dinner with Antwerp-based magazine ENFNTS TERRIBLES at Lila29—the rooftop restaurant and bar serving up Iberian and Mediterranean plates now floating high above the city on the 29th floor.

The mood? Effortlessly stylish. The guest list? A who's who of creative culture, including Lennon Gallagher, Tigerlily Taylor, Izzy Richmond, Layton Williams, Connie Constance, Leo Mandella, Maxim Magnus, The Flag Twins and Parisa Wilkinson were just a few of the names who gathered along the Brussels skyline for an evening of shared plates, signature cocktails and unfiltered conversation.

The 200-room property—Brussels’ new social playground—was designed to inspire, and Lila29 proved to be the perfect setting for connecting and creative exchange. With Iberian flavors on the table and city lights below, the restaurant’s opening night buzzed with that unmistakable energy only The Standard can summon.

The dinner set the tone for the weekend, rounding out a room that was as diverse as it was dynamic. Stylish locals mixed with international creatives from fashion, art and music, joined by figures like Hannelore Knuts, Mkulu Lee, Daniel Millar, Miss Fame, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, Oscar and the Wolf and Luc Tuymans

The Standard, Brussels has officially arrived. Just wait until you see what happens at the opening party—Honey Dijon and Lefto will be on the decks at The Greenhouse, and Brussels is about to lose its cool (in the best way possible).
