This past weekend, The Standard, Hua Hin turned up the volume (and the heat) for the ultimate beachside blowout. Our inaugural Beach Bash brought together sun-seekers, music lovers, and party pros for a weekend of salty air, sandy toes, and high-energy vibes straight from the shoreline.
Amid the energy, one sound rises above the rest: Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band. Melding the hypnotic grooves of Molam with psychedelic rock, funk and electronic textures, they’ve become a symbol of modern Thailand.
At the centre of it all is Maft Sai, the band’s creative compass and longtime cultural connector. Under his direction, the group has crafted a sound that’s both deeply rooted and radically current. Every performance is a journey, part time capsule, part dance floor, offering a rare moment to move, feel and reconnect.
Since 2013, Paradise Bangkok has brought this genre-bending fusion to audiences across Europe and Asia, building a quiet cult following along the way. Their live shows radiate warmth, joy and a kind of musical magnetism that cuts across language and borders.
