NYFW SS27 in the East Village

New York Fashion Week found its way downtown.

From our first-ever runway show weaving through the ground floor to collections taking over unexpected corners all the way up to The Penthouse, The Standard, East Village naturally became part of the NYFW scene.

Scroll on for an inside look...
PIPENCO Takes Over the Ground Floor
PIPENCO brought the property's first-ever runway show to the property with Muma Pădurii, a collection that made its way through Cuna and The Garden, with editorial photoshoots and backstage action unfolding behind the scenes.
Amari Carter, 21 Floors Up
Inspired by the feeling of Sunday service, Amari Carter presented The Weight of a Sunday Dress at The Penthouse in an intimate showcase exploring discipline, femininity, inheritance, and the body, with the collection accompanied by a choir, keyboard player, and single church pew.
DWARMIS at The Overlook
DWARMIS unveiled AIRE in The Overlook, where Garden views complemented a collection defined by movement, lightness, and the feeling of air around the body. Downstairs, Cuna Bar & Lounge functioned as the backstage hub and backdrop for the collection's lookbook shoot.
Nia Thomas Sets Up Shop at Cuna
Nia Thomas brought her Mexico City showroom to Cuna's private dining room, turning the space into an intimate showroom filled with colorful, handcrafted knitwear and crochet by female artisans using traditional techniques. Guests had a chance to get up close with the collection, try on exclusive pieces, hear the stories behind them directly from Nia, and leave with a little piece of her Mexico City world.

RAISEfashion: The Penthouse Edit
RAISEfashion transformed the 21st floor for The Penthouse Edit, spotlighting a curated lineup of independent designers from around the world in the heart of the East Village. The public shopping day moved between The Penthouse and its open-air terrace, where guests browsed collections, met the founders behind the brands, and discovered new names with the Manhattan skyline as their backdrop.
Thank you to the designers, creatives, and communities who continue to bring their work through our doors. We’re proud to foster spaces where creative energy can take shape in the heart of the East Village.
