What came after the 2025 Met Gala? The Standard's annual celeb-filled afterparty at Boom. Last night the celebs put on their best dandy looks for The Met Gala, celebrating the exhibition "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." Burna Boy hosted — scroll down to see who showed up.
This first Monday in May proved that 2025 is indeed the year of boom boom, the indulgent aesthetic coined by trend forecaster Sean Monahan. Everyone who's anyone hopped in The Standard, High Line's elevator to the 18th floor for the annual Met Gala after party at Boom. Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy hosted, while Grammy-winning Afro-house DJ Black Coffee set the vibe, welcoming guests — some still in their red-carpet couture, while others opted for a fit change — as they filled the space straight from the legendary Costume Institute celebration.
Heavyweights from fashion, art and entertainment arrived in their tailored best, inspired by the theme of the 2025 Costume Institute exhibition, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." Among the A-listers who walked through the BOOM's doors to party in the decadent Roman & Williams-designed space included designers Dapper Dan, Ozwald Boateng, Charles Harbison, Maxwell Osbourne, Dao-Yi Chao, Henry Zankov, Daniel Lee, Grace Wales Bonner, Hillary Taymour and Christian Siriano; actors Yara Shahidi, Jodie Turner-Smith, Yvonne Orji, Darren Criss, Yaya DaCosta, Dascha Polanco and Lupita N'yongo; model Coco Rocha; music artists Chance the Rapper, Busta Rhymes, Big Sean, Adam Lambert, Leon Bridges, Mia Moretti and Bebe Rexha; Tina Leung; and from the art world, Amy Sherald, Kimberly Drew and Jordan Casteel .
Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas arrived looking cuter than ever. Dancer and singer Poco Lee brought the hype and the Lagos vibes. Artist Devin B. Johnson put his hand on his pregnant partner model Dilone's belly. Partygoers were in for a treat as Burna Boy, rapper Central Cee and Shaboozey joined Black Coffee behind the decks.
