Last night, BOOM at The Standard, High Line threw open its doors (and arms) for the annual kickoff and the city’s finest did not disappoint.
Bathed in purple light, BOOM came alive as DJ duo Mazurbate and Tama Gucci set the pace and the dance floor transformed into a full-on celebration of queer joy. A who’s who of NYC’s icons, culture-shapers, and nightlife fixtures, including Andy Cohen, Jeremy Pope, Alex Newell, Chi Ossé, Jaida Essence Hall and Aquaria, danced, mingled, and made the rounds beneath the famous gold tree.
Just when things couldn’t get hotter, Kaytranada took over the decks and brought out Justine Skye for a surprise live performance of their new single “Oh Lala,” sending the room into overdrive.
Also spotted: Tyrell Hampton, Ashtin Earle, Jari Jones, Hunter Abrams, Isan Elba, Ella Snyder, Jordan Daniels and Chris Klemens.
The Standard, High Line once again proved it’s the place to kick off Pride weekend. No notes.
