Wet & Wild: Celebrating Songkran (That's Thai New Year)

Every April, Thai New Year, known as Songkran, is famous for its public water fights framed as ritual cleansing. From April 11 to 15, The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit, turned up the heat (and the hose) for a full-throttle Songkran celebration with Beats & Bites—a wet and wild kickoff to Thai New Year like no other.

The Box transformed into a playful playground, with water guns in hand, guests danced through DJ sets and backyard-style games. The night peaked with a high-voltage Isan set by Ton Trakul, whose electrifying performance had everyone on their feet—especially with DJ Rabbit Disco spinning beat-heavy remixes that kept the energy soaking and soaring.

Qanarn brought the chill vibes with their curated setup—think splash-friendly lounging, cool curves, and furniture too good to stay dry. And in true community spirit, The StandardX played the role of unofficial water station for the neighborhood, offering free refills, face spritzers, and quick towel-offs for soggy passersby.

And the drinks? Let’s just say the Passionista Daiquiri were the unofficial MVPs—fruity, boozy, and absolutely on repeat.

Missed it? You missed the splash, the sips and the vibe. But hey, next Songkran’s only 365 days away—and trust us, it's one for which you’ll want front-row (and front-splash).
