About Double Standard

Double Standard, The Standard, London’s bar and terrace, serves delicious hearty fare by Adam Rawson accompanied by beers, classic cocktails and slushy Aperol spritzes – and as of this summer features a fun vending machine supplying Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut minis. This beautiful Shawn-Hausman-designed space is the neighbourhood’s street-facing anchor for lunch and casual drinking and dining throughout the evening. The Double Standard dining experience has become best-known for its famous burgers and addictive chicken bites all enjoyed in the 70s-inspired bar space or in the sun-soaked terraces.

In line with government guidelines, we’re going above and beyond to make sure your Double Standard experience is as safe as possible. Please see some ways in which your experience may differ slightly...

-       Reservations are now essential so please make one before arriving and ensure you’re following government guidance by dining with a maximum of one other household if you're planning on sitting indoors. 

-       We will have social distancing rules in place through the restaurant – a one-way traffic system and limited tables for use - so please be patient with our new set-up.

-       We can only sit a maximum of 6 people at one table and have reduced capacity in each venue so please understand if we can’t seat you immediately.

-       On arrival, please wait to be seated so we can ensure you have a table that is compliant with social distancing requirements and you’ve plenty of room to spread out. Whilst you can’t book a table for the terrace or outside space you can request one on arrival and we’ll do our very best to seat you rain or shine.

-       Scannable QR codes will be available on all tables and lead you to our new menu so you’ll have all the info you need without moving a muscle. We are also encouraging all guests to use contactless card payments.

-       We have very limited room in our cloakroom so please keep suitcases and larger items at home.

-        If you're not able to find your preferred reservation time in advance swing by to take one of our first-come-first-serve garden or terrace tables. You'll just need to leave your details with us on arrival. 

-       Finally, these new changes mean lots more for our staff to consider and note they may give you directions based around our health and safety guidelines - please come with patience and treat them with respect. Remember: your wellness is our number one priority.
