New York - East Village, NYC Hotel Marketing Manager

      The Standard, East Village, is looking for an experienced
      and dynamic Marketing Manager to join our team!

      Responsible for management of The Standard, East Village
      Marketing Department, the Marketing Manager will also be in charge of:
      Developing and promoting online and offline programs; creating strategies to
      maximize engagement to a brand-aligned global audience; and focus on achieving
      hotel and food & beverage monthly and annual revenue goals.

      The role will collaborate closely with the hotel’s General
      Manager and Corporate Marketing team to complement and carry forward The
      Standard, East Village’s story in the most meaningful manner. The position is
      responsible to market both the rooms and food & beverage operations to a
      local and global audience. 

      Responsibilities Include:

      1. PARTNERSHIPS/PROGRAMMING

      Discover new & nurture existing relationships with local
      partners that bring both culturally relevant and brand-aligned events and
      activations to the property that introduce the brand to new guests and create
      media value

      Have a strong understanding and influence within the social
      and cultural scene in New York, the East Village neighborhood, and beyond. Act
      as a cultural ambassador for the property to continue to create activations and
      partnerships that make The Standard, East Village a cultural hub within the
      neighborhood.

      Oversee the local execution of large-scale brand
      collaborations

      Manage communication, promotion, and invite lists for key
      programming events

      Support, and at times lead, the F&B department with
      programming events and execution for the multiple outlets within the property

      Field and analyze ROI and value for new events and
      partnership requests

      Manage all special project needs including guest list
      management, event production and PR coordination


      2. SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE MAINTENANCE

      Manage digital media presence and content for property:
      company website, third party sites, OTAs.

      Oversee and execute all social media initiatives for the
      property including Facebook and Instagram. This includes: 1.Posting Calendar
      2.Growth strategy and engagement goals 3.Ensuring imagery and copy is
      representative of the property and brand

      Supporting brand social media platforms by supplying regular
      East Village content for inclusion including: Instagram, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo
      & LinkedIn.

      Manage social media advertising campaigns and promotions
      with corporate Director of Social Media + Digital Content

      Regularly update all Events + Specials on the hotel website


      3. PROMOTIONS/EMAIL MARKETING

      Work with Sales and Revenue departments in order to create
      packages, promotions and design communications in order to ensure hotel meets
      revenue and reaches new audiences for both rooms and food & beverage
      departments.

      Ability to analyze KPI to discover best practices and shift
      efforts accordingly 

      Manage all promotional packages/campaigns including
      requesting creative, drafting the communication plan and recap and reporting
      analysis

      Work with the property Sales/Revenue and Corporate Marketing
      departments to manage all digital marketing efforts, including PPC, SEO, META
      and other digital marketing ads

      Lead F&B and Events departments with promotion creation,
      execution and communications and manage and maintain digital presence for all
      F&B venues on property


      4. PR/PHOTOSHOOTS

      Oversee all hotel Media/PR requests

      Work directly with PR companies to ensure all daily property
      initiatives in terms of hotel and F&B operations are communicated in a
      timely manner

      Oversee all photo and film shoot requests and work with PR
      for approval and execution with the hotel. Work directly with the property
      to effectively execute the shoot and all its needs

      Scheduling and maintaining photography for property events
      and updated stock photography


      5. GENERAL/COLLATERAL/ADMINISTRATIVE

      Oversee and be accountable for on-property programming,
      marketing, media, and photography budgets

      Communicate and educate all hotel and brand initiatives and
      announcements to the property

      Generate comprehensive recaps for key initiatives

      Oversee and establish all trade/barter agreements for the
      hotel

      Oversee all hotel communication (flyers, signs, eblast etc.)
      – work in parallel with the in house design team, respective department and the
      corporate office


      Essential Qualifications:

      At least 4 years of experience in similar position

      Experience in Restaurant and/or Food & Beverage outlets
      a plus

      Managerial and supervisory skills

      Work well under pressure, attention to detail, speed and
      accuracy

      Maintain confidentiality of client/guest information and
      pertinent hotel data

      Must possess excellent communication and organizational
      skills

      General understanding of the PR/Media landscape

      Strong local connection within New York cultural industries
      (music, art, film, fashion, etc.)

       

      Required Physical Abilities

      Able to remain stationary for periods of time in front of
      computer, up to and including full shifts.

      Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity
      machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

      Periodical movement inside an office to access file
      cabinets, operate machinery, operate calculator, operate copier, operate
      telephone.

      Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 35 pounds; able
      to move about hotel property for tours, property walkthroughs, etc.

      Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with
      hands

      Frequent communication with employees, vendors, ownership,
      management, hotel guests, VIPs; must be able to exchange accurate information
      in these situations.
