The Role:
As a Guest Relations Agent (Security), you’ll be the go-to person for all things safety and vibes. You’ll help create a secure environment that allows our guests and team members to truly relax and enjoy the magic of The Standard. This role blends traditional security with warm hospitality, because here, even our safety team is part of the guest experience.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the calm in the chaos: Respond quickly and confidently to incidents, complaints, or anything that needs attention, whether it’s a guest concern or an unexpected situation.

  • Patrol with purpose: Walk the property regularly to keep things running smoothly and ensure everyone feels safe and seen.

  • Keep us in the loop: Log all incidents, noise complaints, and activities thoroughly in our daily reports. Details matter.

  • Watchful eyes: Monitor surveillance equipment and stay alert to any unusual activity.

  • Team up: Collaborate with Valet, Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, and more to create seamless moments for our guests.

  • Enforce the essentials: Uphold hotel policies, safety procedures, and liquor laws while keeping your cool.

  • Handle the hard stuff: Safely and respectfully remove disruptive guests or patrons when needed, always with tact and professionalism.

  • Lost and found hero: Manage the Lost & Found like a pro, returning items and smiles whenever possible.

  • Stay connected: Keep important contact info on hand (local law enforcement, hospitals, etc.) and know when to use it.

  • Be ready for anything: Jump into special projects or assist Department Heads with unique requests as needed.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Prior experience in security, especially in nightlife, hospitality, or entertainment settings (bonus points).

  • A steady presence, able to work solo or as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills and comfort using common programs.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); bonus if you're bilingual.

  • A natural communicator who can interact with guests, team members, and local authorities.

  • Customer service skills that are top-tier.

  • Guard Card training required.

  • First Aid/CPR certified, or willing to become certified (preferred).

  • A clean background check.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Work in variable weather conditions
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
