On April 29th, the RAISEfashion community gathered for an intimate conversation in The Penthouse at The Standard, East Village for Only What’s Wanted: Why Demand Is the Standard. RAISEfashion is dedicated to providing time, resources, and connections to independent designers and students from communities historically excluded from the fashion industry.
The panel was moderated by Robyn Mowatt and included panelist April Henning the president of Moda Operandi and designers Aisling Camps of Dwarmis, Dwarmis the founder of Dwarmis, and Beatrice Galilee of The World Around.
This discussion explored sustainability, demand, and the future of fashion as the industry continues to rethink overproduction, shifting consumer behavior, and long-term viability. The discussion centered on what it means to build with greater intention.
