Celebrate Eddie Ruscha and Peter Zummo’s forthcoming LP titled Thinking A View plus grooves, vibrations and attitude in compositions by Zummo and long-time bandmate Arthur Russell at The Library on Sunday 2 October at 7pm.
This will be the first time this band come together for a live performance, with Peter Zummo orchestrating and playing trombone, Eddie Ruscha on electronics and effects, Tom Herbert on bass and Magnus Mehta on drums and percussion. You can expect an arsenal of Fourth World music, machine-generated beats combined with traditional instruments and human sounds. It’ll be a vividly evocative performance of continuous improvisation somewhere between ambient and dance floor, charting mythical worlds and altered states.
The band will be supported with DJ sets by Anton Spice and Cedric Bardawil.
