Sister Europe at the Hotel Existence
'Curated By...' Presents: Sister Europe at the Hotel Existence
By Lara Haworth & Annie Frost Nicholson
Sunday 20 July
4pm til 6pm
The Library Lounge
Take a step into the Hotel Existence — a place for reflection, imagination, and artistic pause.
Join artists Lara Haworth and Annie Frost Nicholson for a gentle and evocative Sunday afternoon session of art-making and writing. Held in the welcoming calm of the Library Lounge, this event offers a rare opportunity to slow down and creatively explore themes of transience, chance, and life’s many “what ifs.”
What to expect:
A warm welcome and short introductory talk from Lara & Annie, setting the tone and sharing the story behind the Hotel Existence — inspired by Paul Auster’s vision of a refuge for the tender-hearted and the time-lost.
-
A guided art collage and writing session, where you’ll create a postcard from your Hotel Existence — addressed to an alternative life, a decision not made, a long-lost version of yourself, or a fleeting stranger who crossed your path.
-
Encounters with fellow hotel patrons, space to think, time to breathe.
-
Good drinks, thoughtful prompts, and a soft place to land.
This session is open to all – no artistic experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Whether you come to reflect, create, or simply sit in good company, this is your invitation to step away from the everyday and into a shared imaginative space.
