Standard Talks: Anderson Asteclines
Memory, desire and the figures that stay with us. Standard Talks brings
Anderson Asteclines and Frieze’s Matthew McLean to The Library Lounge.
Some encounters stay with you. Others find their way onto canvas.
This Frieze week, join Brazilian artist
Anderson Asteclines
and Frieze’s
Matthew McLean
for a conversation on the memories, queer encounters and personal
histories behind his paintings. From his childhood in Brasília to
London’s parks, explore how intimacy, identity and longing shape his
work – and how layering, smudging and erasing bring figures into view
before they slip away again.
