F&B Manager
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of F&B, the F&B Manager oversee the operations of the Izakaya, Lobby Bar, and Pool Bar within the hotel, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in hospitality management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences to guests.
- Supervise daily restaurant & bar operations with a strong presence on the floor and assist the teams on the floor during peak meal periods.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflow, maximise productivity, and maintain consistency in service quality.
- Recruit, train, and supervise colleagues, including bartenders, hostesses, and servers, to ensure high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for colleagues.
- Foster a positive work environment characterised by teamwork, mutual respect, and open communication.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Bar & Beverage Manager to develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal trends, dietary preferences, and guest feedback.
- Set pricing strategies in alignment with market trends, profitability goals, and guest expectations, while maintaining competitiveness within the local market.
- Interact with guests to solicit feedback, address concerns, and ensure a personalized dining experience that exceeds expectations.
- Resolve any service-related issues promptly and courteously, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor revenue and expenses, and implement cost-control measures to maximise profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for guests and colleagues.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the Culture and Programming Manager and Marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, special events, and themed nights to drive foot traffic and enhance the venue's visibility and reputation.
- Be well versed in the hotel’s fire and life safety emergency procedures
- Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Build strong working relationships with other hotel departments
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Restaurant Management, Hospitality or extensive F&B experience in the hotel industry.
- Preferably with pre-opening experience in similar capacity.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar luxury hotel or restaurant capacity.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Able to perform under pressure.
