Director of Rooms
Responsibilities:
- To strategically deliver the Hotels' goals and vision as a member of the Executive Committee and lead by example
- Ensures the Hotel’s guest experience is consistently delivered from Front Office to Housekeeping.
- Communicates a clear and consistent message to the Rooms Team regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
- Demonstrates leadership and management of an efficient and effective operation in which colleagues understand the key drivers of the business and are responsible for their performance
- Builds colleagues' motivation and morale by empowering, training and coaching colleagues timely to improve operational and service capabilities
- To set up and update divisional SOPs on a regular basis
- To monitor productivity of the division and implement corrective strategies to improve productivity
- To implement the business plan in the division
- To apply commercial acumen and a business understanding to drive for results
- Achieve the agreed financial and non-financial key performance objectives
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management or equivalent
- At least 7 years' experience in Rooms Division with 2 years in the similar capacity in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge and experience in the front office functions of Opera or equivalent Property Management Systems and other software that is essential in managing Rooms operations and manpower
- Demonstrate ability to handle complaints and challenges professionally
- Strong in analytical and problem-solving skillset
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage
Successful candidate will start in Mar-Apr 2024.
