Questions of Time with Nightlife Legend Susanne Bartsch

2016 marks the 30th year of Susanne Bartsch’s reign as the Queen of New York nightlife. As befits her legendary stature as grande dame and fashion icon extraordinaire, 2015 saw the opening of her fantastical retrospective “The World of Susanne Bartsch” at FIT, and 2016 brings the possibility of a full-scale documentary on her inimitable life.

From the time of her first party in 1986 to her present palace On Top, every Tuesday at Le Bain, a lot has changed. Or has it? After making a regal cameo in our Standard Time video, we checked in with Her Royal Highness to find out what’s changed, what’s stayed the same, and how time is, or is not, a factor.
