Responsible for providing a cool and sought-after bar experience in The Hotel’s Bars. Creates an emotional connection with the clientele of The Hotel and greater Bangkok through exceptional technical skills, an engaging and outgoing personality and leading market product knowledge.

–         Ensuring the department maintains a first-class visual impact including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness and décor

–         Ensure all bar equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

–         Excellent communication skills and ability to converse with guests at ease

–         Check back of the house cleanliness to ensure that it is compliant with sanitation and hygiene rules and regulations

–         Check the supply of equipment and stock levels to ensure there is no shortage

–         To have full knowledge of the beverage menu and beverage lists

–         Knowledge of all beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

–         To answer any guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way

–         To always take corrective action if service errors occur ensuring all solutions exceed the guest’s expectations

–         Attend briefing, weekly and monthly meetings

–         Be well versed in all necessary Standard Hotel brand standards and history


–         Ensure a service-oriented culture focusing on guests’ needs

–         Be well versed in the hotel’s fire and life safety emergency procedures

–         Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

–         Build strong working relationships with other hotel departments

–         Attend meetings with senior management to discuss future business strategies and review ongoing action plans and progress

–         Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and cleanliness

–         Perform other duties assigned by the management



Knowledge and Experience

–         Secondary / High school education

–         1 years of relevant experience in a similar luxury hotel or free-standing bar

–         Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English and Thai language

–         Bar tending competitions experience an asset

–         Pre-opening experience an asset
