The Head Mixologist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations, including menu development, ingredient sourcing, and staff training. This role is critical in ensuring a high-quality and consistent bar experience for guests.
The Head Mixologist leads and manages the bar team, creates and updates beverage menus, trains staff on proper mixing techniques and ingredients, and works closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a creative, innovative, and seasonal beverage menu
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including inventory management, ordering of supplies, and staff scheduling
- Train and coach bar staff on mixing techniques, ingredients, and drink preparation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu development and special events
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- Manage budgets and financial reports related to bar operations
- Attend industry events and trainings to stay current on trends and techniques in mixology
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all bar staff
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high standard of quality in all beverages served.
