Party Patrol

Parlá Patrol: One Night, Two Gallery Openings, and an Epic Afterparty

When I ran into José Parlá on the Malecon in Havana earlier this summer, I didn’t realize that it was going to be the SUMMER of Parlá. From his work in Havana, to the custom scarf he made for us, to his installation on The Plaza at The Standard, High Line, the man works harder than I do trying to get to a bar!

This past weekend, Parlá was the talk of the art world with not one, but two (concurrent) exhibitions of work at Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery and at Mary Boone Gallery. It was the first time Mary Boone has ever worked with another gallery to show one artist. Yes, his work is that significant. Of course, he wanted to have an afterparty, and of course, there’s no other place in the city more fitting than The Top of The Standard.

So without further ado, here is a photo recap for your viewing pleasure.

xoxo,
Stan
