TheirStories: King Culture

TheirStories: King Culture

TheirStories is a series of intergenerational LGBTQ+ conversations, hosted in the surroundings of The Library Lounge at The Standard, London and curated by Laurie Belgrave, founder of The Chateau. Seeking to investigate, celebrate and uplift the diverse narratives and stories of London’s vibrant LGBTIQA+ community, with intergenerational talks, performances, cultural moments and music. It is a meeting point and platform for knowledge exchange between generations of queer creatives, artists & humxns.

This month’s edition is TheirStories: King Culture, an exploration of the UK’s burgeoning drag king scene, as seen through the eyes of four of the UK’s top drag kings; Beau Jangles, Wesley Dykes, King Frankie Sinatra and our host, Prinx Silver. In the week of the King’s coronation, we at The Standard look to celebrate the ‘real’ kings of the UK in this one-off event featuring a rich conversation and scintillating performance.

Join us in the Library Lounge to celebrate our thriving drag king community, and catch some of the hottest talents on the queer performance circuit.
