Fashion Week F/W '14: Ready-to-Share

Today marks the beginning of New York Fashion Week, the twice-yearly event where we at The Standard, High Line and The Standard, East Village support the industry that keeps me clothed. In celebration, I'm getting undressed. By myself. At home. And not going anywhere. But I digress...

Here's a little rundown of what we've got going on, but don't be calling me for invitations. I've only got one front row seat, and it's mine. #PrettyHurts

MADE at The Standard

Chromat, presenting at The Standard, does up Beyonce for her Mrs. Carter Tour.

We are once again teaming with Milk Studios to present MADE Fashion Week at The Standard, High Line with presentations by the industry's next biggest names. The week kicks off with Chromat. You know her. She's the one that designed Beyonce's Grammy and Half Time looks. On a side note, she also made me a Sunday brunch outfit, but no one could eat with my having it on.

The week continues with shows by Chris Gelinas, Baja East, Eckhaus Latta, Azede Jean Pierre and Maria Ke Fisherman. We've prepared dossiers on each and will be sharing with you the backstage and front row action as it unfolds.

How many RSVPs do we have?

Tonight The Standard Shop is hosting a party with Snarkitecture and Del Toro for their latest collaboration. Party starts at 6pm and you're more than welcome to come see me there. We've got more MOET than we know what to do with.

Pantone is celebrating the "Color of the Year" and their new pop up shop at The Ice Rink. We will be chatting with some Pantone higher-ups later on this week about the universal metric for color. (I always have my assistants match my coffee to precisely Pantone 483.)

There are a few other private affairs including two fabulous magazine parties, which I promised not to blab. I will say this: one is a launch and one is a classic sexy old rag and both will be dripping with my favorite fashion friends. We will post the party photos just as soon as we can.

Calmez-vous and have some carrot fries

Looking for a Stan D'elicious meal? You always have The Standard Grill and now our newest restaurant Narcissa. From the mind of Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser, the restaurant features all fresh produce from our farm upstate as well as chef's flawless rotisserie and roasting techniques. The beets are KILLER!

As always, to keep up with the beauty, you can follow us at StandardCulture.com/FashionWeek, or on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. And, don't forget to use #StandardFW for your snaps.

xoxo
Stan
