'Woven' in Decimo with The Sarabande Foundation

Sarabande Foundation and The Standard, London celebrated the immeasurable power in building creative communities and supporting fearless artistic talent on the evening of Monday 6 November with a special event.

Woven was an evening of culture, food and festivities raising funds for the Foundation, bringing attention to the brilliant diversity of artists and designers supported by the charity. It was hosted at our chic 10th-floor restaurant Decimo, with designer and long-standing friend of Sarabande, Giles Deacon as host.

Guests included: Marina Abramović, Mark Sanders, Tim Walker, Letitia Wright, Hannah Redmayne, Maverick Sabre, Lola Bute, Maxim Magnus, Yinka Ilori, Alex Eagle, Mark Wadhwa, Bianca Saunders, Jack Guinness, Harry Lambert, Bettina Korek, Sandy Powell, Sarah Burton, Aiysha Hart, Camilla Lowther, Charles Aboah, Debra Shaw, Francesca Amfitheatrof, Hikari Yokoyama, Jonathan Akeroyd, Julie Akeroyd,  and Rhea Dillon.

The room was filled with interwoven, bold fabrics suspended from the ceiling, and each table was dressed with plates by exceptional creatives from Tim Burton to Daniel Roseberry of Schiaparelli, pots by Sarabande alumni Camilla Hanney, as well as unique sugar and lead ‘stained-glass’ sculptures by recent Sarabande artist-in-residence, Sophie Lloyd. The playful sculptures, specially commissioned for the event, included caricatures of some of the evening’s special guests – from Sandy Powell to Yinka Ilori.
