Curated By… | Library Lounge

The Library Lounge at The Standard, London is home to one of our favourite ever-evolving features: Curated By…

The selections tend to mirror something we love about the Library Lounge itself: that high/low, playful/grounded tension that makes a space feel breathing and alive. You might find something canonical sitting next to something completely unexpected, and that's exactly the point.

Our Curated By… collaborators span the full breadth of culture: publishers, tastemakers, artists, writers, and those who simply have an uncommonly good eye. The brief is loose by design. We're not after a reading list — we're after perspective.

Antenne Books

Right now, the shelves belong to Antenne Books: a London-based distributor founded in 2010, working with independent publishers worldwide to place books, magazines and zines in independent retail and gallery spaces. With an instinct-led approach and a catalogue built over 16 years, they champion everything from the playful to the culturally grounded.

Their selection in the Library Lounge reflects exactly that spirit, a wide-ranging, considered mix that resists easy categorisation. Think sticker books alongside food culture deep-dives, artist monographs next to niche social histories. It's a curation that feels as at home here as it does anywhere books and curiosity collide.

Keep an eye on the shelves. From time to time, we invite an interesting someone new to make themselves at home among them, each bringing their own stack of books, their own point of view, and their own idea of what belongs in a room as unique as this one. There's always something new worth picking up.
