Sol LeWitt's Wall Drawings, The Hanson Brothers, and A Portal to Awakening

NEW YORK

Wall Drawing #564: Complex forms with color ink washes superimposed was conceived by Sol LeWitt for the Venice Biennale of 1988 and hasn't been exhibited since. The piece belongs to a series of wall drawings from the late 1980s and symbolizes a critical departure from object-based art. Sol believed in the “primacy of the idea.”

Wall Drawing #576C (also from 1988) is on view at the gallery’s 521 West 21st Street location.

Hanson circa the '90s

Gen Y's favorite boy band, Hanson, is back in town. The MmmBop boys released their ninth studio effort, Anthem, in June, and are now on a world tour. And if things couldn't get any better the boys, er men, have created their own beer (smartly named MmmHops) to celebrate 21 years together. #thingsthatmakemefeelold
