Honoring the Hamburger

Every Monday, hungry Angelenos all over the city eagerly await The Standard, Downtown LA's announcement of the Burger of the Week. Chef Micah Fields' inspired burger creations are inventive, beautiful, and always delicious. He's never repeated a recipe and says he never will. May is National Burger Month and in honor of such a momentous occasion we'd thought we'd take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of Chef Micah's most glorious creations.

And, for those looking ahead, we have the inside scoop on the Burger of the Week for the next this week and the next!

Week of May 20th: Land and Sea Burger: 8oz of ground buffalo meat, herb aioli, watercress, heirloom tomato, topped with a lobster aioli. It's accompanied with buffalo sauce drench cauliflower which rests on a cloud of blue cheese mousse.

Week of May 27th: The Double Duck Burger: Grilled Muscovy duck with foie gras, smoked aioli and kale chips.
