WE'RE GETTING READY FOR 2020

Here at The Standard, we’re not just hotels, we’re the thousands of people who stay, work and create with us. Together, our vote is our voice. Let's not stay silent on the things that matter.

“Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters,” said Abraham Lincoln about democracy and the importance of voting.

We don't like our behinds blistered, but if you do, that is 100% your choice and just another reason why you should go vote; to protect your freedom to express yourself in whatever way you want!

Everyone is familiar with the "I VOTED" stickers that are handed out at polling stations around the country. But in order to optimize voter turnout, we have joined forces with Pincause and created a limited edition t-shirt to raise awareness about the election. The t-shirts were also worn by The Standard staff (as seen in the images) around the country.
As we said: the politically engaged staff at The Standard is taking voting very serious. We caught up with some of them to find out why participating in our democracy is so important to them.
