Stand Up: The Time Has Come for Common Sense Gun Reform

There have been 273 mass shootings in 2017. If that doesn't stop you in your tracks, nothing will. Enough. Is. Enough. Today, we’re urging you take action.

In the long-term, we must find a way to reject the NRA’s agenda and put the safety of Americans first. That means requiring elected officials to propose real steps to address this issue.

Right NOW, there are two pieces of legislation that would actually lift gun restrictions. We’re teaming up with Everytown, the movement for common-sense gun violence reforms, to put a stop to this nonsense.

It’s very simple: if you’re in-room at one of our hotels, near our free public phone booth at The Standard, Plaza, or out in the wider world, call your representatives and make your opposition known:
#1. The Hearing Protection Act would make it easier for anyone to get a SILENCER. “This bill…expand[s] access to, and opportunities for, hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting.” Enough. Ring Your Rep now and urge them to oppose this bill.

While you have your elected official’s ear…

#2. Voice your opposition to
Concealed Carry Reciprocity, a bill that aims to loosen restrictions on carrying concealed weapons. In other words, if you’re licensed in one state, you’re licensed in all states. No.

This is the task. Take action. Take to the phones. Ring Your Rep. Flood The System.
Make your voice heard.
