Senior Bartender [Decimo]
Senior Bartender, Decimo · Full Time · 40 Hours per week · Sunday & Monday off · £15.55 per hour including Tronc
Recently seen on BBC1 Master Chef and voted as one of London's Top 100 Restaurants; Michelin-starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias merges the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico for his debut London restaurant, Decimo. Expect lots of flavour, innovation, and an exceptional cocktail menu and wine list.
Situated on the 10th floor of The Standard, London, Decimo features two separate bar areas and a main restaurant that showcases live fire cooking and two semi private dining spaces, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows and roof terraces providing dramatic views across the London skyline.
At the heart of our hotels are of course of people who through their vibrancy and energy bring our properties to life. We are now seeking to cast a team of diverse and dynamic individuals that will capture the very essence of the Standard London to join our team as a Senior Bartender.
Your role
While prior experience is key you will also have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests that enable us to not only preempt needs but foresee desires. In addition to this you will also need….
- Prior experience as a Senior or Head Bartender with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination cocktail bar or similar busy city bar
- To have proven knowledge of spirits, well versed in both classic and contemporary cocktails with a good understanding of the latest trends in the London bar scene
- Prior experience using squirrel epos is advantageous, however full training will be given
- To be highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
- Any relevant qualifications such as WSET are advantageous but not essential
- Availability full-time with a flexible schedule Tuesday-Saturday, and able to work late-night as Decimo operates till 2am Friday and Saturday night.
