La Plaz

Welcome to La Plaz—our playful take on the sights, sounds and flavors of Mexico City. La Plaz is a hangout for tacos, cocktails, and people-watching in the Meatpacking District when the sun’s out.

The space’s fresh look reflects the vibrant colors of CDMX. It features an installation by Mexico City sculptor Sofia Elias, whose interactive playsets are grown-up works of art. Her site-specific work “Playing to Play” inspires action, reaction and interaction…a whimsical throwback to summer in the city. 

This spring-summer concept features a new Mexican menu: Craft frozen drinks hit the spot on hot NYC days, alongside rotating Frescas Del Día and full agave service. Bites include yellowfin tostadas, tableside guac and plenty of tacos. 

We’ve teamed up with Greenpoint’s beloved Taqueria Ramirez on a special gordita to steal the show. In addition to the lounge menu, a food truck offers snacks and sweet treats by our pastry team and more culinary partners—including popsicles by La Newyorkina. 

La Plaz will host performances, happy hours, games and more activations through the warmer months in NYC. Join us outside at The Standard, High Line.
