Wynwood Coloring Book’s Guide to Wynwood

If Miami’s Ocean Drive is where neon goes to die, Wynwood is where it’s reborn. The bright colors of the neighborhood’s famous, hypnotic murals—dubbed Wynwood Walls—showcase some of Miami’s most inventive artists. If you’re looking to get an even deeper understanding of these public works, pick up a copy of Wynwood Coloring Book. The pocket-sized coloring book is filled with popular Wynwood murals and the stories of the artists who created them. Whether or not you color inside the lines is up to you.

We asked Diego Orlandini, the man behind Wynwood Coloring Book and an expert on the neighborhood, how he colors his way through Wynwood. Here are his picks.

FrangiPani
Situated right on the main strip of NW 2nd Ave and right next to the famous Wynwood Walls, FrangiPani is a boutique you shouldn't skip. One can spend hours browsing their merchandise. If you are looking for fun gifts that are intelligent, colorful, and superbly crafted, this is where you'll find them. Their selection of books is a must.

Pilathon
Missing your gym routine? Pilathon is a great place to strengthen your core. Located on the rooftop of the Cynergi building in Wynwood, the studio has a nice vibe and everybody is always smiling (and sweating), which makes it feel like home. The sunset view from the roof is also unreal. Definitely worth a session.
Wynwood Brewing Company
Wynwood Brewing Company is the creator of La Rubia, one of Miami’s most popular local beers, and it's located across from the historic RC Cola Factory. At the brewery, you can drink top craft beer, play some board games, and if you RSVP beforehand, they offer weekend tours of the brewing facilities.
Della
Della's vegan bowls are the perfect lunch. Located at the Wynwood Yard, you can make a day visiting this venue full of activities, good vibes, and a killer bar. Insider's tip: get quinoa, coconut rice, tempeh, adashah, kale, sweet potato, gold and orange sauce, and avocado.

MIAM Café
MIAM Café's lattes are perfectly balanced to set your day off right. Their daily soup is a must, too. This Swiss-owned French café has the friendliest people and the most delicious snacks.
Jimmy's Eastside Diner
You'll never feel more like a local than at Jimmy's Eastside Diner. Miamians loved this place long before Moonlight was filmed there. The place is over thirty years old, and it’s our version of a traditional American diner. The breakfasts will keep you full all day. Tell the manager we told you to ask where to find Jimmy. We've been looking for him for years!
Lagniappe
For a dose of solid jazz and a cozy couch, Lagniappe is perfect for a glass of wine. This stylish live music and wine bar has everything from folk-bluegrass to soul. The venue features a large open yard with French chairs, a wide selection of cheeses and meats, and tons and tons of good wine.
Glottman
Looking for a cool gift or souvenir to take home with you? Glottman is one of the best stores in Wynwood. They have cool design-centric products and most will fit in your luggage, like umbrellas that change colors when wet, paper wallets, and prints by local artists. It’s definitely a must-see.
Wood Tavern
Located at the heart of Wynwood, Wood Tavern is a staple of the neighborhood. Go for craft beers and cocktails, both inside and out, jumbo Jenga, tacos, and burgers. Here you'll find the people that make Wynwood unique, and everybody is welcome.
Wyn 317 Art Gallery
If you’re wondering what the street art of Wynwood would look like framed, this is the place to go. Wyn 317 is a small gallery featuring both emerging and established artists, all at accessible prices. They are currently featuring the work of El Pez Barcelona, Chanoir, and El Xupet Negre, some of the artists whose work is everywhere in Wynwood.
