Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs will live for a little bit longer. MoMA's outstanding display of Matisse's seminal work has been extended until February 10. In the late '40s, Matisse began using painted sheets of paper that he cut up as his main medium. This exhibition marks the homecoming of The Swimming Pool (1952), which has undergone a multi-year conservation and is the only cut-out composed for a specific space (the artists dining room). A toast to the MoMA is in order!
