By now, you must know how much I love Fashion Week in New York. The entire city is abuzz with a distinctive energy you only find in the first weeks of February and September. The streets are filled with models rushing to castings. Stylists are running from showroom to showroom pulling all the accessories they need. And I, as always, sit back at the bar at the Top of The Standard and wait. And then, just like that, it feels like it’s over in a flash!...kind of like a one-night stand, but I digress.
Dive into our new spring issue, now in-room (and in-hotel)!
It’s no coincidence that this fleeting feeling is on my mind. It’s been on all of our minds over here at The Standard. Our latest print issue of Standard Culture focuses on crazy nights out, one-night stands, and the myriad ways technology is changing how we spend our nights...and our days, too, but I digress. Find a copy of the Standard Culture print edition in any of The Standards and read all about it for yourself. Or better still, get a room, and read it with a friend…#OneNightStandard.
This Fashion Week we have a lineup of shows and events of which you, my Stan D’arlings, are an integral part (most of the time).
Does this hat make me look fat?
This Saturday & Sunday, February 14th & 15th, get a custom hat made just for you with fashion world milliner Albertus Swanepoel at The Shop at The Standard, High Line.
Everyone's going nuts this Wednesday, February 18th
The Shop at The Standard, High Line is launching Donald Robertson's delightfully nutty, "Fashion is Nuts" zine which has the fashion set in a tizzy. We're the only place in the world (sorry Colette) where you can buy it so come on over and get a special autographed copy.
The only color that matters this week...
Purple Magazine's legendary Fashion Week bash is going to be an absolute smash, as always. Guest list only my D'Arlings, but do check back next week to live vicariously through party pictures.
MADE at The Standard
Below you will find the complete MADE Fashion Week lineup which I know you will do your best to attend. As always, I love to think that you’ll be right there with me…
