Live in London: Eddie Huang Come Undone

What started as a live podcast quickly became the room's favourite conversation.

Last night, The Standard, London welcomed writer, filmmaker and restaurateur Eddie Huang for an evening celebrating the launch of his new novel, Come Undone. Swapping the stage for something closer to a living room, Eddie was joined by his wife Shia Blanca for a live podcast recording that wandered through love, marriage and modern intimacy.

The room filled early. Cocktails disappeared quickly. Chairs became a hot commodity. Friends, readers, writers and London's reliably curious crowd squeezed in, ready for an evening that wandered effortlessly between marriage, memory, ambition, identity, creativity and all the beautifully messy places where those things collide.

The conversation doesn't end in London. The evening marks the latest stop in The Standard's global partnership with Eddie Huang, celebrating Come Undone with events from New York to London and beyond - with exclusive stays, unexpected conversations and a few more stories still to come.

The best nights at The Standard, London have a habit of continuing long after the official programme ends. This was one of them.

See who came undone.

Not quite ready to put the conversation to bed? Neither are we. Our Come Undone room package lets you keep the story going with a Premium King or Suite, a copy of Eddie Huang's Come Undone, an exclusive Standard x Eddie conversation card game, £50 to spend at Isla, and, naturally, a room with a tub. Because the best conversations rarely end when the event does.
