The Whitney's second exhibition in its new building opens on Friday. Archibald Motley: Jazz Age Modernist is the first full-scale survey of Motley's paintings in two decades. The exhibition examines the dynamic depiction of modern life in Chicago, as well as the Jazz Age in Paris and Mexico.

Chamber, the conceptually-curated cabinet of curiosities tucked beneath the High Line, is unveiling its second exhibition. "Human | Nature" is curated by photographer & filmmaker Andrew Zuckerman, who explores how the natural world interacts with living environments. Zuckerman looked to Japanese aesthetics, ethnographic art, and biomimetics to curate a collection of object grounded in organic forms.

Eli Broad's priceless 20th-century art collection is now on display, (free of charge, now and forever) in a $150 million genius-certified Diller Scofidio + Renfro building on South Grand Avenue, right across the street from MoCA. Mr. Broad is the first man in history to create not one, but two Fortune 500 companies – first real estate, then insurance. The collection is a selfie paradise with every blue chip artist you could possibly imagine.

A survey of one of the most revolutionary contemporary architects, the Frank Gehry exhibition traces his work from the early 1960s—he established his firm in Los Angeles in 1962—to now, featuring over 200 drawings, and 65 models that shed light on the evolution of Gehry’s brilliance. It looks like Lego Land, but for adults.

UH-OH: Frances Stark 1991-2015 is a comprehensive mid-career survey of an artist who has created poetic and poignant compositions for over 25 years. Her text and image-based works, including 125 drawings, paintings, collages, and video installation, explore the subjects of failure, the banality of life, sadness, and procrastination.

Modernica, the uber-cool furniture company in DTLA, tapped artist duo DABSMYLA for their next collaboration. But DABSMYLA being DABSMYLA decided to take it one step further; in addition to limited-edition fiberglass shell chairs and handpainted ceramics, the duo has taken over a 4,000 square foot 1930s built Spanish Revival work building located on Modernica's factory property and transformed every inch of it, filling it with their newest paintings, sculptures, and installations (including custom-built lighting). Before and Further will open to the public on Oct. 18.
