Assistant IT Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the hotel's goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Committee to identify technology needs and explore opportunities for innovation.

  • Oversee and manage IT maintenance contracts ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Design, implement, and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.

  • Control and manage the IT department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and oversee investments in new technology to support business growth.

  • Ensure hardware and software are well maintained and kept up-to-date.

  • Perform and monitor regular data backups for security and recovery purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, data protection, and PCI requirements.

  • Keep all systems updated with the latest security patches to minimize risks.

  • Provide technical support to colleagues, guests and stakeholders, troubleshooting issues promptly.

  • Develop and deliver training programs related to IT, systems, and cybersecurity.

  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Stay informed of industry technological advancements and recommend relevant updates.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or the equivalent

  • Candidate must have at least three (3) or more years of IT experience in a hotel in Singapore

  • This is an independent role reporting to Director of Finance 

  • Ability to multitask, work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
