Is This the Coolest Ping-Pong Table Ever Made?

SPiN Standard, artist Ryan McGinness, Kohn Gallery, Quint Contemporary Art, and Maker Magazine all broke out their glow-in-the-dark paddles to celebrate the grand reveal of McGinness' custom SPiN Standard table. Ryan was on hand signing copies of his latest book Women: (Re)Presentations, while his 'Women' glowed on the windows. Shepard Fairey worked the turntables. Partygoers donned black-lit jumpers (painted by the artist himself) while sipping glowing cocktails and ping-pong balls flew through the sky like confetti.

At the far end of the ping-pong rave, Ryan's table gleamed like a beacon. Using one of our SPiN Standard Tables as a base, Ryan has created a ping pong table like no other. The images on the table communicate complex concepts through densely layered personal iconography. The end result is a psychedelic whirlwind of color and form. The best part? The closer you look the more you see. Just don't let it distract you from your backhand.
