Up here, above the streets of King’s Cross, London feels sharper, brighter, freer. This is the 10th floor of The Standard, London—where nights stretch out and two worlds collide: Decimo and Sweeties.
Decimo
At Decimo, the air is scented with smoke and spice, the glow of the open kitchen spilling into a room alive with conversation. Executive Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias and Paola Arenas bring together Spain and Mexico in dishes that are rooted in tradition yet lifted by innovation: lobster seared a la talla, its sweetness deepened by flame; pigeon cloaked in mole, as dark and rich as night; tamales softened with wild mushrooms and lifted by truffle. Food here is soulful, and unapologetically bold—crafted to be remembered.
To drink: one of London’s most extensive mezcal collections, each bottle carrying its own landscape and story, alongside cocktails by Zoe Burgess of Atelier Pip. Like the food, they’re layered and expressive, balancing precision with play.
Sweeties
Running parallel, Sweeties turns the night on its head. It’s a bar that feels like a secret you want to share, then keep to yourself. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretch out the skyline, DJs late into the night, and Zoe’s cocktails lean experimental—liquid daydreams designed to surprise. Think of them as high-gloss hedonism: unexpected ingredients, mixed with the rigour of a perfumer, always landing in pleasure.
Sweeties is velvet corners, glittering lights, and the thrill of staying out just a little too long.
Together, Decimo and Sweeties make the 10th floor more than just another floor of the hotel. It’s a destination in itself: dinner that unfolds into cocktails, cocktails into dancing, a night that doesn’t check the time.
