Pool Attendant
The Pool Attendant creates a welcoming and seamless poolside experience by assisting guests with chairs and towels, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool and dock areas, and supporting the overall safety, service, and vibe of The Standard’s waterfront oasis.
Greet guests warmly and assist with pool chairs, towel setup, and seating preferences.
Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive support to ensure a relaxing, effortless experience.
Collaborate with servers by helping deliver food and beverage items as needed.
Notify wait staff when guests are ready to order or require service.
Maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the pool deck, dock, and surrounding areas.
Remove trash, used towels, and debris throughout the shift to uphold property standards.
Set up and break down towels and chair configurations at the start and end of each shift.
Assist Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams with cleaning of the pool deck, rock area, and dock.
Check and record temperatures for the pool, hot tub, and cold plunge; promptly report any irregularities to Engineering or the Pool Manager.
Enforce property pool rules (no smoking, no personal speakers, no children, respectful noise levels, etc.) in a friendly but firm manner.
Monitor guest activity to ensure safety, comfort, and appropriate use of pool facilities.
Support emergency or safety procedures as directed by management.
Keep towel carts stocked, organized, and rotated; ensure timely removal of soiled towels and replenishment of clean ones.
Arrange pool chairs and loungers in their designated layouts throughout the day.
Report any maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or guest concerns promptly.
Previous experience in hospitality, pool operations, recreation, or guest services preferred, but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs and create a welcoming, elevated poolside experience.
Comfortable enforcing property rules in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with high guest interaction.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and Management.
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift.
Ability to learn and follow safety procedures & policies.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
Ability to bend, lift, push, and carry items such as towel bags, chair cushions, and carts (frequently up to 25–30 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs).
Frequent reaching, stretching, pulling, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, sun exposure, and light rain.
Ability to safely navigate wet or uneven surfaces around the pool and dock areas.
Must be able to move pool chairs, loungers, umbrellas, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
