Bar Back

The Barback is an essential part of the bar team, responsible for setting the stage for a smooth, high-energy service. This role supports bartenders by maintaining stock levels, preparing the bar for service, and ensuring the space remains clean, organized, and fully equipped at all times.

Working behind the scenes but always in motion, the Barback plays a key role in delivering a seamless guest experience by anticipating needs, staying organized, and keeping the bar running efficiently from open to close.

• Set up and prepare the bar for service, including stocking liquor, glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
• Maintain par levels of all bar inventory, including fruits, juices, beer, liquor, ice, and dry goods.
• Replenish ice wells, restock glassware, and ensure all bar stations are fully equipped throughout service.
• Keep all bar areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
• Assist bartenders during service by anticipating needs and providing timely support.
• Break down and clean the bar at the end of service, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Maintain inventory of bar tools, paper goods (napkins, straws, stirrers), and other operational supplies.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and SOPs.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed.
• Communicate any shortages, issues, or operational needs to management.
• Follow direction from bartenders and management while maintaining a proactive and self-driven work style.
• Support overall team operations and assist with additional duties as assigned.

• Previous barback or hospitality experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations, products, and drink preparation is helpful but not required.
• Working knowledge of POS systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English; multilingual is a plus.
• High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Strong teamwork mindset with a willingness to support others.

• Ability to stand and move continuously for up to 8 hours or more.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stretch, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
