A "Squishy" Sarabande Dreamscape in NYC

On May 3, the worlds of art, fashion and entertainment sat down to dinner at The Standard, High Line—and the "squishies" came to play!

The Sarabande Foundation, established by the late Lee Alexander McQueen in 2010, celebrated its first American moment with an intimate evening of culture, food and festivities. Special guests gathered at The Standard, High Line to support the foundation's mission to nurture up-and-coming artists from across the globe in their quest to realize their dreams.

Attendees enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by a private viewing of art from BOUND: limited-edition albums of sculptural works from Sarabande artists, which explore the beauty of paper and its endless creative potential. For a touch of the surreal, textile artist Daisy May Collingridge’s “squishies” milled about the proceedings. In attendance were actor Jeremy StrongQueer Eye's Antoni Porowski, designer Thom Browne and Andrew Bolton, Daniel Roseberry (Artistic Director of Maison Schiaparelli), Gabriella and Austin Hearst, designer Misha Noonoo, Aimee Mullins and Rupert Friend, and more. Guests received a limited edition Sarabande plate designed by Sir Ridley Scott, Jake Chapman, Alexander McQueen or Francesca Amfitheatrof, as well as a personalized, monogrammed pillowcase.
