Earth Month with RAISEfashion

In honor of Earth Month, The Penthouse at The Standard, East Village welcomed the RAISEfashion community for Only What's Wanted: Why Demand is the Standard—an intimate conversation exploring the future of sustainability in fashion.

Dedicated to providing time, resources, and connections to independent designers and students from communities historically excluded from the fashion industry, RAISEfashion brought together a thoughtful group of creatives, industry leaders, and change makers. Guests mingled over coffee and a light breakfast before settling in for a panel moderated by Robyn Mowatt and included panelists April Henning (President, Moda Operandi), Aisling Camps (Designer), Dwarmis Concepcion (Founder, Dwarmis), and Beatrice Galilee (Founder, The World Around). Together, they explored how the fashion industry is rethinking overproduction, evolving consumer demand, and what it means to build with greater intention.

Framed by sweeping skyline views and flooded with natural light, The Penthouse provided a fitting backdrop for a conversation centered on purpose, progress, and the future of fashion.
