At The Standard, marketing isn’t just about selling rooms, it’s about shaping culture. The Director of Marketing & Programming leads the property’s storytelling across all platforms and touchpoints. This role oversees marketing, partnerships, cultural programming, creative direction & design, communications, digital presence, local campaigns, and serves as the key liaison for PR and photo shoots.
In close collaboration with the Director of Food & Beverage and our corporate marketing team, the Director ensures seamless planning, coordination, and execution of events and activations that embody The Standard’s bold, playful, and timeless brand.

Proven marketing expertise with both strategic vision and creative flair
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Exceptional copywriting and communication (verbal & written)
Strength in analytics, reporting, and ROI-driven strategy
Ability to lead creative direction with passion and pride
Proficiency in PPC, SEO, paid search & social campaigns
Graphic & web design skills (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
MS Office proficiency
Weekend and evening availability for major events and programming
Partner with Sales, F&B, Spa, Membership, Retail, and Catering & Events to create and execute marketing and programming initiatives that elevate the guest experience and meet revenue goals.
Develop and manage strategic marketing plans, overseeing the annual Sales & Marketing budget.
Lead cultural programming and brand-aligned events, pop-ups, and partnerships, especially during peak cultural moments like Art Basel, Miami Music Week, Swim Week, and major holidays.
Manage communications and promotions, including guest and member updates, cultural calendars, and brand campaigns.
Oversee property digital and social initiatives: database growth, ad campaigns, engagement, and online reputation management.
Provide creative direction and manage production of collateral, campaigns, and promotional materials.
Collaborate with PR partners to maximize coverage, build press value, and secure strategic media opportunities.
Book and manage talent, artists, and partners for activations, ensuring alignment with brand and guest expectations.
Oversee guest list management, event production, and property activations from concept to execution.
Support Human Resources on culture collateral, internal communications, and brand standards.
Partner with the GM and PR team on any crisis communications or sensitive brand messaging.
Maintain financial records for campaigns and events, including reconciliations, reporting, and vendor management.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods as needed.
