Festive Season: IMAGINE 2025

Festive Season: IMAGINE 2025

IMAGINE

Welcome to IMAGINE - The Standard, London’s festive installation that asks you to picture the holiday season a little differently.
This year, we’ve skipped the sparkly stuff and focused instead on what feels important right now: community, connection and celebration.

Rather than decorating our space to look like Christmas, IMAGINE shapes one that feels like Christmas - social, musical, joyful and generous. Think festive food and drink, analogue workshops, unexpected treats, gospel choirs, fireside storytelling... Loads of reasons to get together.

You'll see, as you move through the hotel, that the festive frills are replaced with a series of simple prompts. They're there to spark your own version of the holidays: imagine there’s mistletoeimagine sleigh bellsimagine all your favourite people are here.

And - in the festive spirit of giving, we’re supporting three charities during the IMAGINE installation: Global Generation, Trussell Trust, and Choose Love.

No festive frills. All festive feels.

About Global Generation

Global Generation is a London-based educational charity that transforms disused urban spaces into vibrant community gardens, helping people of all ages reconnect with nature. Through hands-on activities like food growing, carpentry, storytelling and reflective learning, they empower young people and equip them with different skills. Their work promotes ecological awareness, self-confidence and social cohesion while building practical skills and promoting sustainable communities.

About The Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust is a UK-wide anti-poverty charity that supports a network of more than 1,400 food banks. They provide emergency food parcels and practical support to people in crisis, while also campaigning for systemic change so that no one needs a food bank to survive. Their longer-term goal is to tackle the root causes of hunger, emphasising that poverty is not just a food problem but an income problem.

About Choose Love

Choose Love is a UK-based humanitarian charity focused on supporting refugees and displaced people around the world. They raise money for frontline partners to provide everything from emergency aid—like search & rescue boats, food and warm clothes—to long-term support such as legal advice, education and mental health services. Their model also includes a Choose Love shop, where supporters can buy real life-saving items like firewood or hygiene kits, which are then sent directly to displaced communities.
